Air Raid 36/46: The Mitsubishi F1M2 "Reikan / Pete" lands in 1:200 scale!

Since the launch of Air Raid 36/46, we have continuously expanded our range of 1:200 scale metal aircraft. We started in 2023 with 41 aircraft types – by 2024, there will be 60 – and the growth continues: over 20 more types will be added this year.

For a long time, we considered it almost impossible to include biplanes as miniatures – their delicate struts seemed too complex in a small scale. But sometimes you just need the perfect team to make the impossible possible.

Thanks to the collaboration with four exceptional talents, we have achieved just that:

– Roman Troyan
– a brilliant STL designer who mastered the model's complex geometry
– Schilling-Figuren – THE experts in mold making who cast the top-quality metal miniature
– Miscmini & Siebenschwabenspiele – the specialists for authentic decals
– Markus Reusch – a gifted model maker who breathed life into the first metal miniature produced

The result? A highly detailed miniature of the legendary Mitsubishi F1M2 "Reikan / Pete," which you can admire in the following photos.
We are pleased to now officially announce this iconic Japanese World War II biplane floatplane as part of our product range – in the proven 1:200 scale and in cast metal, of course.

Background on the Mitsubishi F1M2 "Reikan / Pete":

Over 1,100 aircraft of this type were built between 1936 and 1944. A reliable, easy-to-maintain reconnaissance aircraft, the Pete was used by coastal bases and warships alike – including battleships, heavy cruisers, and seaplane carriers. Its roles ranged from combat observation to artillery direction and air cover.
